Preciously, I wrote about the importance of toes and how they affect the whole body.
Self care Series: ①Toes & Feet
But does it really affect the whole body? Let me show it with an example.
This morning, I woke up with neck pain and felt my thoracic vertebra was compressed. When I did the toe movement check, my right side toe movements were sluggish than usual.
Now, when I think about it, I sprained my right side 2nd toe yesterday during my exercise routine. As it was very minor, I was forgetting about it until now.
I did feel pain in my neck with other movements but the range of motion of side flexion to the right side was the most obvious one.
Toes are connected (not physically but internally) to lumber vertebrae.
Lumber vertebrae are connected to thoracic vertebrae.
Thoracic vertebrae are connected to cervical vertebrae.
So, what happened to the toe can influence the neck. And there are many networks like this in a body.
I used one acupuncture point between right side 2nd & 3rd toe.
Right after needling the acupuncture point, my range of motion improved. (From 16° to 33°)
Getting the proper range of motion back is more important than getting rid of the pain.
Pain disappears as you move. A body is made to move.
My toe movement also recovered.
Seeing is believing, no? It is hard to fake this.
