I am sharing the picture of "Amabie", a mermaid-like creature supposedly appeared off the coast of Kumamoto in the late Edo period.
Amabie warned about upcoming epidmic and told people to draw pictures of it and show them to as many people.
Amabie started to reappear on SNS on the end of February when Covid-19 hit the cruise ship off the coast of Japan. I thought it kind of looks cute.
